There may be a few of you on this list who were never at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire and there may be a few of you who were at the Faire but never visited the Teahouse of the Mullah Nasrudin's Donkey or got to know Don Brown. Most of us knew Don or DB as he was known. He was a major part of the Faire for many years. His booth provided coffee, chai, kefir, baklava and sabra mamool for participants and visitors alike. Before the Faire opened and after hours he provided food for participants and for many years he was the main source of food for the crew and those who were at the Faire during the week. He fed many who couldn't afford to pay and carried many on a tab that was endless.

Many wonderful musicians gathered to play music on his stage and his booth was the favoured meeting place at night time after the Faire was closed. Don played his drums and encouraged all kinds of entertainers to play there. He was also a regular at the ongoing Faire poker game.

Don was also an editor of the Buck and Mug and had all the back issues before the fire. He kept it going and the editors always knew that they could sell their issues at the Teahouse or coffeehouse as it was usually known. He wasn't well known as a poet but you can read his poetry at the website at http://www.mullahsteahouse.com/DonsPoetry.html

Don Brown had been ill for some time and he passed away peacefully in his sleep this morning at 10:55am. His memory will live on!
